Observation & Coaching
The Education Pulse lesson observation module allows a
manager, or senior teacher to observe a teacher delivering a lesson.
A structured assessment takes place against an agreed scorecard. The process
is electronic and can even be carried out using a PDA device making data capture
easy. Data is able to be collected instantly with results viewable by management
in real-time. This gives organisations not only the opportunity to secure real
tactical awareness, but also provides a robust and effective staff training and
development capability.
Results are delivered using the Education Pulse Desktop
with data being analysed and measured from individuals, through teams, faculties,
up to school or college level. Automatic e-mail alerts can inform managers of
assessments that are due or completed.
Education Pulse is able to provide effectiveness ratings
and competency assessments relevant to the faculty, course work or initiative
undertaken.
Incorporating this part of the Education Pulse package
into an organisation's overall assessment programme can deliver significant benefits
to both the individual and the wider organisation ensuring that education delivery is
continually improving so as to be as effective as the organisation demands.
The Education Pulse lesson observation module is proving
to be increasingly relevant across organisations not only to ensure that education and
learning is being delivered as designed, but also in helping to validate compliance
with the ever increasing scope of regulations which all schools and colleges now face.
This module has a wide range of uses and is easily tailored using the
Education Pulse tool set.
