Ian Lyons - Chairman
Ian founded Optimum Contact in 2006 and having built the business for growth, moved to Chairman in 2011. As Chairman Ian is responsible for overall company development and in an executive capacity focuses on product development and meeting the changing needs of clients and new markets. Before founding Optimum Contact Ian’s 30 year career in the software industry included Director roles at Bristol & West and Marlborough Stirling in business solution design and sales. In 1996 he co-founded Mercator Group, a technology consulting group which also developed N4 solutions (sold to Experian) and the genesis of Optimum’s original platform.
Chris Williams - CEO
Chris is responsible for business strategy, operations, key client and partner relationships and company performance. Prior to joining the management team in 2011 Chris’ career spanned 30 years in the technology and services industry and his Director roles included the development build and sale of TIS software and support, and corporate strategy and business development at Misys plc. Chris was also Technology Corporate Finance partner at both Deloitte and Cobalt, assisting with the development of over 100 fast growing technology companies.
Gary Smith - IT Director
Gary has overall responsibility for Optimum Contact’s technology architecture and design, product development and information governance. Gary started his career at United Utilities in 1994 before moving to London Bridge and then N4 Solutions where he lead key parts of the product development and client implementations. In 2003 he joined Ian Lyons in the founding team that emerged as Optimum in 2006 and he has lead as CTO since its inception.
Alistair Rowley - Sales Director
Alistair is responsible for new business development including new customer propositions and related products. Alistair has a long career in the technology industry ranging from large corporates such as NCR and AT&T to smaller fast growing businesses including Optimum from its first sales in 2006. Alistair brings experience of larger IT projects, software, product and sector focused services.
Colin Hayfield - Finance Director
Colin was a founding member of the team and is now a Non-Executive Director responsible for Finance. Colin has a long career in finance including 24 years as an independent accountant at Hardcastle Burton. His corporate roles includes CFO at Marlborough Stirling where he was closely involved throughout including its Listing and subsequent sale to Vertex in 2005.
